Waiting on Wednesday [1]

So here’s something new I’m trying – books coming out soon I’m looking forward to.
P.S ‘Waiting on Wednesday’ is hosted at Breaking the Spine.

Prodigy by Marie Lu.
Released 29 Jan 13.
This is the sequel to Legend, which I gave top marks. (Click the link to check out my review.)
Goodreads description:
June and Day arrive in Vegas just as the unthinkable happens: the Elector Primo dies, and his son Anden takes his place. With the Republic edging closer to chaos, the two join a group of Patriot rebels eager to help Day rescue his brother and offer passage to the Colonies. They have only one request—June and Day must assassinate the new Elector.
It’s their chance to change the nation, to give voice to a people silenced for too long.
But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning? What if revolution must be more than loss and vengeance, anger and blood—what if the Patriots are wrong?

It actually sounds like it has a proper storyline as though this were a standalone. The first one was so cinematic and action-packed, and this one sounds even better. Can’t wait!

  1. I’m looking forward to it. I liked legend, despite avoiding it for fear of it being some rehashed rubbish. So prodigy should be good! Jan 13 is a great month for new ya fiction. I’m struggling to get all my arcs read in time!
