Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick

Silence (Hush Hush)

Becca Fitzpatrick

(This review has a tiny tiny spoiler that isn’t really spoiling anything as you find out in the first chapter).
I simply do not understand why this book (and the series) are getting such good reviews. About: Basically, a fallen angel. I’ve read the previous two books and, although I quite liked Hush Hush, Crescendo – not so much.

Nora has amnesia. She can’t remember anything that has happened in the past two books. So no Patch or angels or Nephilim or anything. Yes, this is an interesting idea in theory, but in reality, she spends half of the book trying to remember things we already know. Also, not much seems to happen as if the author is trying to drag out the series. And, what keeps annoying me, is Patch’s stupid declarations of love. They’re so cheesy as if their love is epic or something and it sounds like what a girl wants to hear but no guy ever says. But I will read the next one because I do want to know what happens. I just won’t buy it.

And. I got a special Waterstones limited edition of the book. It’s signed and is one of 6000 numbered first editions. Mine is number 5444. Cool huh?

The sequel Finale is out now. It’s the last in the series.
